We Interrupt This Program

We interrupt this program to bring you a special blog post… cause I’ve been tagged!!

Hello lovely people!

I was tagged by an amazing blogger (and friend!), to tell y’all a bit more about this crazy little thing called me. So if you’re curious about what I like and do when I’m not writing (pshh… when does that ever happen 😉 ) here’s some fun little questions posed by another author.

Thank you Gabrielle for these great questions! Oh! And go check out Gabrielle’s awesome blog here. (newly updated!)

So without further ado…

1) What is one thing you own that encapsulates your personality?
My crocheted squirrel named Chitty. squirell

2) What’s your personality type?
ENFP (now the squirrel makes sense 😛 )

3) Do you prefer writing on a computer or with good ol’ pen and paper?
Actual preference: Pen and paper. Out of necessity preference so my hands don’t freeze up from writer’s cramp: computer.

4) What is your favorite food that isn’t American?
Any nationality ice cream 😛 Okay for real, Italian Chicken and Gnocchi soup

5) DC or Marvel (or neither)?
Great question! Unfortunately I have no idea about either one therefore I have no preference. Which side should I take?

6) When you roast marshmallows over a bonfire, do you like your marshmallows roasted to a golden perfection, or do you light them on fire and eat them burned?
To burn a marshmallow is to waste a marshmallow’s true purpose. My grandpa taught me that roasting a marshmallow to golden perfection is the only way to go. (that and I think he was trying to teach me a lesson in patience… 🙂 )

7) What is your least favorite flavor of ice cream?
Maple Bacon Ice Cream. *shivers* Let’s get one thing straight though. It’s not that I have anything against Bacon or Ice Cream, but together? That’s just wrong.

8) What is the name of your current Work-in-Progress?
Always Been. This is the picture I stare at imaging what the front cover may look like. *happysigh*

always_been_cover

9) What do you like to snack on while you write/read?
Original Pringles and cranberry sauce! *yumyum*

10) If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
Actually despite my fascination of squirrels, I’d probably want to be a bird of some sort so that I could fly 🙂

11) What’s one of the best pieces of writing advice you’ve received?
“Don’t strive to be a famous writer, but to be a successful one.”

And that concludes Gabrielle’s questions. Thanks for stopping by the Attic today! Now you know a whole lot more about Rolena. 🙂

As far as I know, the rules to this is that you thank the blogger who tagged you and then pass on 11 new questions to 11 other bloggers. I have 11 new questions! But I’m actually only passing this on to @notesofjubilee @storygirl95gmailcom and @kateflournoy

Here’s your questions!

What kind of animal represents your personality type best?
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
If you could be apart of one scene in a book which one and why?
What’s your favorite genre to write and/or read?
Do you have a favorite Bible verse?
How many books have you written?
Who’s your favorite author?
If you could sum up your current Work-in-Progress in one sentence what would it be?
What’s one food you couldn’t live without?
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
What’s the one thing you’d tell your younger writer self?

I now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

What about you? I’d love to hear some of your answers to these questions. Also, do you know anything about DC and Marvel? 🙂 And which side are you on?

  1. I love Chicken Gnocchi soup! And I can’t understand who could like bacon and ice cream together…yuck. I know nothing about DC or Marvel either, so don’t feel too bad.

Hmmm…I think I’ll answer a couple of your questions. My favorite author(s) are John MacArthur and Charles Spurgeon. My WIP can be summed up in one sentence and only 3 words: “Don’t touch that!” Needless to say, humor is quite a predominant theme in the book. 😉

  2. I learned some new things about you today! I would never have guessed that you have an affinity for squirrels. However, now that I DO know that . . . It kinda makes sense. But I’m not sure why. I think perhaps I just confused myself, I dunno. lol
Thanks for tagging me. I will do a post like this in my blog! Fun!

  3. *Runs in late* Thanks for doing this, Rolena! I love Chitty. You’re an ENFP? How did I not know. XD Ooooh, that’s a good quote. I love all your answers :D. *whispers* You should pick Marvel…

  4. I’m hoping I don’t get stoned for this, but I like BOTH Marvel and DC…XD I mean, the more superheroes the merrier, right?? No, seriously, I like to pick and choose from both universes.

That crocheted squirrel is just awesome! I crochet a little, but that looks…complex. And, oh man! Italian gelato is to die for! Especially that purple berry kind. I don’t remember the name of the berry!! And, I must admit, I intentionally burn the marshmallows…I mean, there is an art to it, cause you want it cooked all the way through. So, let it get all ooey and gooey and golden brown (resist eating!), then light that bugger on fire til it’s all black and extinguish with a goofy grin before inserting between graham crackers and chocolate…

Mm, you know, I think James 1:22 may be one of my very favorites: “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

    1. *throws up a shield so Coralie doesn’t get stoned* Lol.
It does look super complex and I have no idea how my friend does it.
Oh man! Burning marshmallows is an art. (now I’ve heard everything XD)
Such a great verse! Thanks for stopping by the Attic!
